Project Overview

The source folder contains prototype assemblies, modular top bars, leg sections, ladder parts, platform modules, rope and cargo-net assemblies, connector brackets, and manufacturing reference drawings. The website presents the project as a public-safe product-development case study.

Project Category

Large modular outdoor play system

Design Method

SolidWorks modular assembly development with redacted manufacturing documentation

Main Components

Slide tower, swing bays, monkey bars, rope nets, cargo features, platform modules, brackets, ladder parts

Material Context

Tubular metal frame with plastic, rope, net, and platform components

Standard Context

EN 71 and outdoor activity-toy context considered; no public certification claim

Software

SolidWorks

Output

Public render, redacted PDF pack, and Draco-compressed GLB web model

Status

Public-safe case study prepared

Engineering Challenge

The main challenge was managing a large configurable product assembly with many frame variants, rope features, platform parts, brackets, and activity modules while keeping the web-facing model small and understandable.

Design Solution

The final public case study uses a simplified approved render, a heavily compressed GLB, and a redacted PDF reference to explain the modular design process without exposing internal drawings or client-sensitive names.

Key Features

  • Large SolidWorks assembly covering swing bays, slide tower, monkey bars, climbing nets, and platform modules
  • Component structure includes top bars, leg sections, ladder parts, brackets, rope assemblies, and platform elements
  • Redacted assembly drawing pack included for public-safe technical reference
  • Design reviewed with awareness of EN 71 and outdoor activity-toy safety context
  • Large original GLB compressed with Draco for browser-ready viewing

Project Deliverables

  • Large SolidWorks assembly model
  • Approved public render
  • Redacted assembly PDF pack
  • Draco-compressed GLB web model
